Be prepared. Nimrod (below) is only the fifth scariest thing about this show.
The Pop In The Real Worls Alphabet reaches 'K'. That's K for Killers, a disturbing topic but one which has inspired some excellent songs. And even in this dark matter there's room for some humanity.
The in depth topic is roads. Motorways, journeys, roads that traverse vast continents and service stations, all washed down to the sounds of St Etienne, Kraftwerk, It's Immaterial and a Bruce Springsteen cover from an unlikely source.
To lighten the show, there's a strong mix of new songs and great pop. and there's some classical. Yes, I know. That's unexpected and if you wanted classical you'd tune into Classic FM. But this is classical with added ambience, and you've probably heard it before.
Parque Tom Jobim, The Killers, Gloucester Services, A Country Fair. They're all there on the show.
Here are the songs.
